Offered in this listing is an original 1958 Walt Disney Fan Card of the Disney film Sleeping Beauty. It showcases a wonderful illutration of Princess Aurora, Prince Phillip, and the good faries Flora, Fauna and Maryweather. This was the 16th animated feature film made by Walt Disney Productions that was officially released to theaters on January 29, 1959, by Buena Vista Distribution.
This rare fan card was issued in advance of the movie to help promote and build excitment for the new release. This would be Walt’s last Fairy Tale adaptation to screen as he would pass away later in 1966. The house that Walt built would bring a new Fairy tale adaptation t othe box office that would ultimately be a block box hit like Walt’s films of the past, that filmed was callled The Little Mermaid in 1989.
This rare find is a great additional to any Disney Fan or collector. It showcases bright color registration, bold vibrant text, clean borders and sharp corners overall (see scans). A great vintage Disney Collectible now 61 years old.
