Offered in this listing is a rare 1964 olympic card of Boxing great Cassius Clay (AKA Muhammad Ali) from Australia. This scarce issue was produced by the Olympic Sponsor at the time Heinz and was used to encourage customer to purchase their products via a free trading card offer with its products. As such the promotional giveaway cards were issued in limited quantities and were only issued during the Olympic period in 1964.

Card #13 showcases a classic battle between Australia’s Boxing great Tony Madigan & Cassius Clay during their first bout during the 1960 Olympics. Clay would go on to beat Madigan in the Semi-finals there by securing a spot for the USA in the final bout. To date only 11 examples of this card have been graded by PSA (Professional Sports Authenticators).

This rare find was given a PSA 7 NRMT grade a truly exceptional designated for a 55 year old card. Only 1 Card is currently graded higher in the population report at an 8. An exceptional and historical find.
