Description
For Sale a very rare 2008 Beijing Olympic Games original Full Ticket – Swimming – Michael Phelps – 100 Meter 7th Gold Medal Win Rare Phelps, who was 23 that summer, dedicated himself to the pursuit of greatness & it came down to that very last stroke. Well, a half-stroke really.
Phelps had been trailing throughout the entire race — and not just to Milorad Čavić, his Serbian rival. At the turn at the 50-meter mark, Čavić was first. Phelps was seventh. Thanks to an explosive turn, Phelps was able to make ground underwater. Races like this usually come down to hundredths of a second, which is also about how much time Phelps had to decide to take that half-stroke.
He did what most wouldn’t have, and it got him the gold medal, out-touching Čavić by .01 of a second. It was Phelps’ seventh gold of the Games, which tied Mark Spitz’s record from the 1972 Munich Olympics.
