This listing is for the 2011 Panini Women’s World Cup Soccer Rookie Card of Brazilian Legend Marta Vieira da Silva graded by PSA (Professional Sports Authenticators) a Top Pop PSA 10 Gem Mint Grade.

In the Sport of Women’s Soccer none have accomplished more than Marta. The Brazilian scored her 17th career World Cup goal, passing Germany’s Miroslav Klose for the record by any player, male or female.  This accomplishment occurred during Brazil’s game against Italy were on a penalty kick in the 74th minute, she gave Brazil a 1-0 victory over Italy during the World Cup Games.

Marta’s accomplishements don’t stop there, she is the first footballer of either gender to score at five World Cup editions followed by Christine Sinclair.

Marta is often regarded as the best female player of all time and was given the nickname “Pelé in skirts” by Pele himself.  She has been named FIFA World Player of the Year six times, five of them being consecutive (from 2006 through 2010) and the latest award coming in 2018. She was a member of the Brazilian national teams that won the silver medal at the 2004 & 2008 Summer Olympics. She was also awarded the Golden Ball (MVP),  at the 2004 FIFA U-19 Women’s World Championship, and won both the Golden Ball award as the best player and the Golden Boot award as the top scorer in the 2007 Women’s World Cup after leading Brazil to the final of the tournament.
